FAQ: Encounter Sensor

FAQ: I’m trying to laod my Encounter Sensor with a texture for the first time and it keeps telling me that I need to add a texture that matches the name of the Sensor. Help!

ANSWER: I cannot stress how picky the Encounter Sensor; everything about that ‘match’ has to be case senstive. So whatever you have named your Encounter Sensor, the Second Life Stamp/Texture must be EXACTLY THE SAME; including random spaces at the end of your object names, etc. If all else fails, delete the texture you’ve added to the Sensor, make sure it’s named the right thing, then RIGHT CLICK + Reset the script in the Sensor’s Contents. THEN add the matching texture to the Contents of the Sensor. This usally fixes the problem.

FAQ: How do I change my stamp texture?

ANSWER: You can’t - once you have set the Encounter up, you can’t change anything about it. If you want to use a different texture, delete the Encounter you no longer want to use anymore, rez a new one in world, and set it up like normal.

FAQ: Where can I register my location when I’m done setting up the Sensor?
