E3 Updates: The List

List Auto Updates with Active Locations: ‘The list’ now automatically updates based on updates from your rezzed sensor in world. This means the list stays more accurate, but ‘dead locations’ automatically cleaned off every Friday when the new locations are added.

  • Smaller HUD Design: The HUD the resident wears is significantly smaller, making it easier to wear while exploring.

  • Different Storage Methods: The Stamp Textures are now actually Second Life textures, and are no longer stored inside the Passport itself. This means that there is less of a chance to loose your stamps, as they are actual inventory items. This also means that residents cannot ‘loose’ their stamps in the future.

  • Inworld Passport Display: Stamp storage is now done via a media prim in world. Driveable ‘cars’ and other transportation vehicles that can also ‘store stamps’ are coming soon.

  • Engage: A new ‘hunt’ element has been added to the game, giving explorers more things to do while they explore and more ways Locations can interact with residents.

  • Open Source Creation: The ability to ‘create Forever Tourist’ copatible hunts has been added to this version of Forever Tourist. To find out more, check out this link.

  • ‘Make Your Own Sensor’: We’ve made a script that you can register for to add to your own object; that way you can make any modifable prim a Forever Tourist Encounter sensor.

  • Leaderboard: That’s right…you can compete (if you want) for TOP EXPLOER and TOP LOCATION now. :)

  • ‘Kiosks’ / Encounter Sensors can now be invisible, so they don’t draw attention away from your Location.
